    As stock market volatility ripples from Wall Street to Main Street, regulators maintain policies that put our economy at risk and contribute to the widening wealth gap by creating barriers to the potentially lucrative private market.

     

    Income inequality is the greatest it's been since the gilded age. The real problem lies in the fact 90% of Americans are restricted from freely investing in the most lucrative startup opportunities. Over 9 million jobs and $300 billion in collective national income is lost due to discriminatory finance practices.

    How can we stop discriminatory regulations and empower founders and funders - especially those from under-represented, socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds - to gain equitable opportunities within the tech startup ecosystem?
